Angel Roussel, P.E.
Assistant County Administrator Public Works, Marion County
Mr. Roussel has more than 16 years of Engineering and Management experience. He has worked as a General Contractor, Engineering Manager, Utilities Director, and has managed several large scale construction projects in the industrial and municipal fields. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico in 2000 and holds an active Professional Engineer license in Florida.
As Director of the award winning Marion County Utilities, he is responsible for directing, managing, planning, coordinating, and maintaining the County Utilities infrastructure to ensure that water, wastewater, and reclaimed water are provided to protect public health and comply with regulatory and environmental requirements. He is responsible for the Capital Improvement Program, maintaining and evaluating various components and systems of the existing infrastructure and leading the County in the design of long term solutions for the County-wide utilities system. He is a member of the Florida Governmental Utility Authority Governing Board, an Alternate for the Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority, and serves as a member of the Southwest Florida Water Management Districts Springs Coast Technical Working Group.
