FGUA supports its communities through year-round outreach and education initiatives. We conduct public awareness campaigns, deliver presentations to local organizations and schools, and participate in community events throughout our service areas.
We also offer educational materials and resources designed for customers, residents, educators, and students seeking to learn more about water quality, conservation, and utility operations.

The Poster Contest is a hands-on program that brings water conservation to life in the classroom. Each year, students from nearly half of Pasco County’s elementary schools, along with private and homeschool groups, participate. Exciting prizes and strong community support adding to the fun. Recognized locally and nationally for its impact, this award-winning program gives teachers an easy, meaningful way to connect creativity with real-world learning.

The FGUA Flush Smart Florida campaign encourages customers to only flush the 3Ps down the toilet – pee, poop and (toilet) paper. When other items are flushed, they don’t break down properly and can clog pipes, damage pumps, and disrupt water treatment equipment.
These blockages can lead to sewer backups, environmental contamination, and costly repairs. Flushing smart helps protect homes, infrastructure, and Florida’s waterways.
