The FGUA understands there may be times when it is difficult to pay your utility bill and we’re here to help. The best thing you can do is be proactive so that we can work with you in addressing financial hardships that may impact your ability to pay for services before you get behind. We may be able to offer a short payment extension or in some cases a payment arrangement. For assistance with extension and payment arrangements, please contact your local FGUA office.
In addition, we are happy to partner with the 2-1-1 Referral Service, supported by your local United Way. 2-1-1 is available by phone, text, and web. A toll-free call to 2-1-1 connects you to a community resource specialist in your area who can help you find services and resources that are available to you locally and may include assistance to pay your utility bill. There are also resources ranging from financial or domestic help to health related or disaster-relief. 2-1-1 is a free, confidential referral and information service that connects people from all communities and ages to a specialist who will help you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The FGUA is proud to work with 2-1-1 to better serve our customers. For more information, please visit http://www.211.org.
