FGUA Hosting Public Participation Plan Meeting for Proposed North Fort Myers Yach Club Colony Septic-to-Sewer Program

The FGUA is undertaking a septic to sewer project in the Yacht Club Colony community located in North Fort Myers. The project consists of the conversion of approximately 253 septic tanks from single family homes in the Yacht Club Colony neighborhood in the Caloosahatchee Estuary Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP). The project is currently in the funding and planning phase with funding expected to be provided by a water quality grant and State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan. A sewer system expansion analysis was conducted to assess the feasibility of different sewer system alternatives and a Facilities Plan prepared. A public meeting will be held to provide for public participation in review and evaluation of the Facilities Plan to be submitted for the State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan program.
