You asked, and the FGUA heard! The FGUA is pleased to announce the implementation of a Reverse 911 notification system that will be used for providing important notifications and emergency alerts to customers regarding their drinking water. The FGUA is currently utilizing automated phone calls for Reverse 911 notifications and plans to add calls to multiple phone numbers, text messages to cell phones, and email alerts this winter. Reverse 911 will be a useful tool for providing timely updates.
The Reverse 911 option replaces the use of Electronic Billboards for notification purposes. All outages and notices will continue on the FGUA Outages and Notices Page.
The FGUA encourages its customers to contact their local FGUA office or fill out our online e-mail comment form to confirm or update your contact information. If providing more than one phone number, please provide information on which phone numbers are land lines and cell phone lines, so text message notification are sent to the correct cell phone number.
