Customers are encouraged to visit this website, review the electronic billboards on display in the community, or listen to the Customer Service Phone line recording of notices for updates on the outage. Media Advisories will be provided for additional updates, including the Precautinoary Boil Water Notice Advisory Rescission, once they become available.
The FGUA apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this expanded outage. Customers with any questions are encouraged to contact the FGUA Pasco Customer Service Office at (727) 372-0115 with any concerns regarding their regular service.
Update: 6/21/22, 11:45 a.m.
The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) scheduled interruption of service affected more customers than originally planned, due to challenges with isolating areas of the system for the scheduled repair. Service was restored by 11:25 a.m. this morning. A Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory is now in effect. Once additional addresses affected by the service outage and determined, the Advisory will be updated. In the meantime, customers that experienced a loss of service are encouraged to follow United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and bring water used for cooking or drinking to a rolling boil for one minute prior to use. Alternatively, bottled water may be used.
Following repairs, water samples were taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory, and the Advisory will be rescinded once water samples indicate the water is safe to drink, most likely by Thursday, June 23.
Given that the FGUA anticipates that more than 300 customers are affected by this advisory, updates will be available on this online posting, as well as on electronic billboards located at major entrance points to the community off of U.S. Highway 19, and on the FGUA Customer Service Phone line recording of current outages and notices. Media Advisories will also be distributed to key Tampa Area contacts concerning the Advisory. The FGUA apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the unplanned expanded outage.
Customer with concerns regarding their regular service may call the FGUA Pasco Customer Service Office at (727) 372-0115.
