UPDATE: 06/13/2024, 4:24 p.m.

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory for the FGUA Aloha Gardens System where crews to install two eight-inch gate valves located near 3940 and 4404 Baden Dr.  in Holiday, FL has now been rescinded. The recission was provided at approximately 3:51 p.m. Thursday, 06/13/2024, this afternoon.

All residents of the following streets that were affected by the outage may return to their normal water usage:

  • 3940-4407 Baden Drive

All biological testing samples were negative and therefore you may resume water usage as normal. The samples were analyzed by a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory that confirmed the drinking water is safe to drink.

The FGUA would like to apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during this time and thank you for your patience during the precautionary boil water advisory period. We appreciate your assistance in notifying your neighbors that the precautionary boil water notice advisory is no longer in effect.

Update: Tuesday, June 11, 2024, 4:00 p.m.

The installation of two eight-inch gate valves located near 3940 and 4404 Baden Drive has been completed.  Service was restored this afternoon by 3:30 p.m.  A Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory is now in effect.

Unfortunately, due to a materials supply concern, work to replace and reroute an eight-inch water main has been delayed.  The FGUA will issue a new Advanced Temporary Service Interruption Notification once FGUA has determined when parts will be available, and the work can be scheduled.

During the Advisory, customers are encouraged to follow United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, and bring water used for cooking or drinking to a rolling boil for one minute before using.  This will remove any active viruses or bacteria in the lines during from repairs. Alternatively, bottled water may be used.

The FGUA apologizes for any inconvenience customers may have experience during the advisory period, and additional interruptions of service that will be soon scheduled.  Customers with questions regarding their regular water service may call the FGUA Customer Service Office at (727) 372-0115.

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) will be interrupting service on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to install two eight-inch gate valves located near 3940 and 4404 Baden Drive, as well as replace and reroute an eight-inch water main at the same location.  Following restoration of service, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory will be in effect for the 68 FGUA Aloha Gardens System customers located from 3940 to 4407 Baden Drive.  The Advisory will remain in effect until water samples taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory indicate that the water is safe to drink, most likely by Friday, June 14.

Please be advised that in the event that all maintenance cannot be completed on Tuesday, June 11, a second day of maintenance for replacing and rerouting of the eight-inch water main would occur on Wednesday, June 12.  The Advisory would still be in effect between repair days, and samples would be taken after the water main replacement is completed, with the advisory possibly being lifted by Saturday, June 15.

Customers are being advised by letters attached by door hangers that a second day of maintenance and scheduled interruption of service may be required.  If a second day of interruption of service is required, customers will receive notification by Reverse 911 notification by Wednesday evening, June 11.
