The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) experienced an unexpected well operations interruption at the Arredondo Estates water treatment plant. As a result, there was a system-wide service outage in this area. Customers in the Arredondo Estates System may continue to experience a loss of water pressure and service. FGUA crews are onsite to complete repairs and restore service as soon as possible.

A Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory will be in effect for the affected customers.  During the Advisory, water used for cooking or drinking should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute prior to use to remove any bacteria or viruses from the water.  Alternatively, bottled water may be used.

Water samples will be taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory, and the Advisory will be lifted once water samples indicate the water is safe to drink, most likely by Monday, April 15, 2019.

Customers are also encouraged to re-visit the “Outages and Notices” page for updates, or contact the FGUA Lady Lake Customer Service Office phone line at 877-657-8889.

The FGUA apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this unplanned service outage.
