Monday, April 5, 2021, 4:00 p.m.

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) Precautionar Boil Water Notice Advisory for the 300 Chuluota System customers located on Jacob Street, 2nd Street, Avenue E, 8th Street, 7th Street, 4th Street, 3rd Street, 5th Street, and 6th Street was rescinded following repairs to the six-inch water main break at East 2nd Street and Avenue E in the FGUA Chuluota System, and following water samples taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory indicated that the water is safe to drink.  The rescission was provided at 7 p.m. lst night (Sunday, April 4).  Customers were immediately advised of the Rescission.  Customers may now resume water use as desired.  Customers with questions regarding their regular water service may call the Customer Service Office at (877) 657-8889.

 

Friday, April 2, 2021, 9:00 a.m.

The FGUA experienced a six-inch water main break at approximately 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of East 2nd Street and Avenue E in the FGUA Chuluota System.  The FGUA isolated the water main break, completed repairs, and restored service by 10:15 p.m. last night (Thursday, April 1).  Following restoration of service, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory was issued for 300 customers, at the following locations:

  • Jacob Street
  • 2nd Street
  • Avenue E
  • 8th Street
  • 7th Street
  • 4th Street
  • 3rd Street
  • 5th Street
  • 6th Street
  • Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisories were provided to affected customers around 5 p.m. last night.  Following repairs, water samples were taken to an independent Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory this monring, and the Advisory will be rescinded once water samples indicate the water is safe to drink, likely by Monday, April 5.

Thursday, April 1, 2021, 6:00 p.m.

The FGUA has experienced a six-inch water main break at approximately 3:30 p.m. at East 2nd Street and Avenue in the FGUA Chuluota System.  Crews are dispatched to the location, and attempting to isolate the water main break.  Customers in the area are experiencing a loss of water pressure or service.
