Detailed Info:

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) recently completed the installation of new backflow prevention devices on all existing potable water service meters in the Twin Lakes community. This was done in preparation of forthcoming reclaimed water service. The new backflow devices will serve to protect against cross connection contamination between these two services. As a check to assure all potable water services have been included in this effort, the FGUA will be temporarily interrupting reclaimed water service to the existing irrigation meters/systems to ensure there are no cross connections between the portable and irrigation systems.

The FGUA will be interrupting irrigation services from 8 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, to 5 p.m. Friday, September 13 while testing for cross connections occurs. This interruption of service will only affect irrigation meter services. During the brief interruption of irrigation service, customers should experience no interruption of their potable water meter service. Any such interruption SHOULD BE REPORTED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE IMMEDIATELY. The FGUA apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this interruption of service, and appreciates our customers’ understanding as we prepare reclaimed water service for our customers this fall.
