The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) has lifted the Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory due to the following repairs to a 6-inch watermain break at 3745 McCloud ST. The following thirty-eight customer addresses that were affected include and range from 3804-3630 McCloud ST; 3629-3811 McCloud ST; 7538-7602 Anaheim Ave; and 7517-7607 Atherton Ave. has been rescinded.  Water samples taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory indicate that the water is safe to drink.  The rescission was provided Wednesday, 09/27/2023 at 2:30pm.  Customers were notified by door hanger and are receiving Reverse 911 notifications.

The FGUA will continue their preplanned shutdown for Tuesday, 10/03, as scheduled, but there will NOT be a boil water notice advisory.

The FGUA apologizes for any inconvenience during the outage and advisory period, and delay in Reverse 911 notification.  Customers with questions regarding their regular service may call the FGUA Customer Service Office at (877) 657-8889.

Please disregard the Tuesday, September 26th pre-planned shutdown. The FGUA has rescheduled maintenance for a later date with more information on the matter found below. 

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) will be interrupting water service on Tuesday, October 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. as crews will be responding to repair a 6-inch watermain at 3745 McCloud ST. The following addresses will be affected by interruption of service: 3804-3630 McCloud ST; 3629-3811 McCloud ST; 7538-7602 Anaheim Ave; and 7517-7607 Atherton Ave. Following restoration of service, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory will be in effect and will be rescinded once water samples taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory indicate the water is safe to drink, most likely by Thursday, October 5th. The FGUA apologizes for any inconvenience customers may experience.  Customers with questions may call the FGUA on (727) 372-0115.

As a precautionary, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advise that all water used for drinking and cooking be boiled and indicate that a rolling boil for a period of one minute is sufficient to render water free of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa.  Bottled water may be used as an alternate.
