The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) experienced an unexpected power interruption at the Quail Ridge water treatment plant, causing an error to the well pump. Repairs to the well pump were made, and service restored by 10 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10th.

Following restoration of service, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory will be in effect for the affected customers.  During the Advisory, water used for cooking or drinking should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute prior to use to remove any bacteria or viruses from the water.  Alternatively, bottled water may be used.

Water samples will be taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory, and the Advisory will be lifted once water samples indicate the water is safe to drink, most likely by Friday afternoon, April 12 or Saturday morning, April 13.

Customers are also encouraged to re-visit the “Outages and Notices” page for updates, or contact the FGUA Lady Lake Customer Service Office phone line at 877-657-8889.
