Update 7/16/2024 11:30Am:

The Precautionary Boil Water Advisory , is no longer in effect.  All affected customers are being notified via door hanger and call notification.

All biological testing samples were negative and therefore you may resume water usage as normal. The samples were analyzed by a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory that confirmed the drinking water is safe to drink.

The FGUA would like to apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during this time and thank you for your patience during the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory period. We appreciate your assistance in notifying your neighbors that the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory is no longer in effect.

 

Update 7/9/2024 2:00Pm:

The repairs have been made and water service has been restored. Due to the opening of the line and the interruption of water service, we are issuing a Precautionary Boil Water
Notice. Once we are able to confirm though biological testing (typically 2-3 days) that no bacteria are present in your
water system, we will notify you by door-hanger that this Precautionary Boil Water Notice is no longer in effect.
As a precaution, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advise that all water used for drinking and
cooking be boiled and indicate that a rolling boil for a period of one minute is sufficient to render water free of
bacteria, viruses, and protozoa.

The following residence are under a precautionary boil water notice:

SW 98th Lane (19198, 19206, 19208, 19203, 19191) 5 homes.

Update 7/8/2024 3:00Pm:

The FGUA was forced to postpone todays work on the 2inch main due to not receiving all of the materials in time. The planned outage has been rescheduled for tomorrow July 9th, 2024 at 8:00Am. Every effort will be made to complete the repairs and restore water service
as quickly as possible. It is anticipated that water will be restored by 5:00 pm.

The following residence will be affected by the outage:

SW 98th Lane (19198, 19206, 19208, 19203, 19191) 5 homes.

within the Rainbow Springs community. Every effort will be made to complete the repairs and restore water service
