5/24/2023:

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) will be performing routine inspection and cleaning of water storage tanks within the Skycrest system.  Although it is extremely rare for the inspection and cleaning process to introduce harmful bacteria into your water system, FGUA may issue a Precautionary Boil Water Notice starting on the proposed inspection date of Tuesday May,30th, 2023 beginning at 8:00am. Please note that customers will experience temporary interruption of service during this process.

Once we are able to confirm through biological testing (typically 2-3 days) that no bacteria are present in your water system, we will notify you by door hanger that this Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory is no longer in effect.  Also, the FGUA will make every effort to ensure water service within your system is not interrupted during the inspection and cleaning process, but please be aware that interruptions of water service are possible on the date listed above.

As a precautionary, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advise that all water used for drinking and cooking be boiled and indicate that a rolling boil for a period of one minute is sufficient to render water free of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa.  Bottled water may be used as an alternate.

The FGUA sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience if you experience a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory during this maintenance period.  We appreciate your assistance in notifying your neighbors of this Precautionary Boil Water Notice.  If you have any additional questions or concern, please call your local Customer Service Office of fill out an e-mail form at Contact Us – https://www.fgua.com.
