FGUA/Pasco County Utilities Water Awareness Poster Contest Winners Announced

The FGUA and Pasco County Utilities are excited to announce this year’s winners for the 14th Annual Water Awareness Poster Contest. This year’s theme, “We Need Water, Water Needs Us,” participating students learned about how water utilities contribute to public safety for our communities, the importance of safety when working with or playing in water, and how we all can contribute to the safety of our drinking water supply through pollution prevention. Additionally, students learned about the importance of conservation and how they can encourage others to conserve, too!

The list of winners is available at by visiting watercontest.org. Winning posters will be posted online soon, and will also be on display at the West Pasco Government Center in New Port Richey, and the East Pasco Government Center in Dade City this summer.

Winners are receiving awards from our generous sponsors: Clearwater Marine Aquarium, LaneGlo Centers, PK’S Play Zone & Grille, Sugar Bob Dessert Bar, The Lift Adventure Park, and Urban Air Adventure Park. All participating students are receiving free ice cream cone vouchers from Cold Stone Creamery/Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Trinity, and Free Kids’ Meal Cards from Chick-Fil-A of Trinity. A drawing will be held for special prizes for participating teachers from Axe Hole of New Port Richey.
