Project Title: Amelia Island WTP Booster Pump Modification Project

System: Nassau Amelia Utility

Description:  The Booster Pump Modification Project will replace the existing booster pump station located on the Omni property in Amelia Island. The new pump station includes a new 1-million-gallon ground storage tank, four (4) split case pumps, one (1) vertical pump, a 500kW standby generator and associated electrical and controls equipment. The construction contractor, Sawcross, has completed the construction of the new ground storage tank, the new pump building and the new electrical building. The new pump station and related equipment commenced testing and checkout in January 2024. All pumps, valves, VFDs, and communication systems have been tested. The remaining activity is testing of the backup control panel shown in Figure 2. Once the new pump station is operational, the existing pump station will be demolished. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.
