Project Title: American Beach Water and Sewer District Well and Septic Tank Phase Out Program

Description: Updated 1-29-25. The American Beach Well and Septic Tank Phase Out Program will provide municipal water and sewer utilities to the American Beach community. The project includes 2 ½ miles of sanitary sewer, 52 manholes, two (2) sewer lift stations, 2 ½ miles of water main, fifteen (15) fire hydrants, and eight (8) automatic flushing assemblies. The construction contractor’s notice to proceed was issued in June 2022. Construction is approximately 99% complete. During the reporting period, the construction contractor worked to address the punchlist items. Also, the contractor commenced the onsite lateral construction and septic tank abandonments required for the St. John’s River Water Management District (SJRWMD) Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) grant. The grant scope of work is in addition to the central water and sewer project. The REDI work is anticipated to be complete in April 2025.
